Phil is the founder and CEO of both UK sales outfit Bankside Films (TALK TO ME, THE QUIET GIRL, BENEDICTION) and Head Gear Films, a prolific film, TV, and video games financier which has deployed over $300m USD in capital across 350+ films in the past two decades. He has also co-founded several distribution companies, including UK-based disruptors Bohemia Media and (Yet) Another Distribution Company, as well as the recently announced New Zealand-based genre distributor (Yet) Another Monster Company. Altogether, Phil has produced or executive produced over 500 feature films in the past quarter of a century.

Phil began his film career in the mid-90s by producing micro-budget features that occasionally found more than a micro audience. Prior to this, he was an advertising and music photographer working closely with popular post-punk bands like Big Audio Dynamite. He sporadically still dusts off his Hasselblad.
