Women in Media

Women In Media encourages gender balance in film and entertainment industries by providing networking, professional development, and advocacy for above and below the line women and the people who love making movies with them. We are an intersectional group of women and woman identifying crew members in the film, television, and new media industries.

Founded in 2016, Women In Media is an elite network of women film and television producers based in New York City that supports, collaborates and promotes the work of its members.  Our goal is to elevate the careers of our members, end the gender power gap in Hollywood and help accelerate more female led projects to receive financing and distribution. Our producers are diverse in backgrounds, ages and specialties – many working internationally and with access to talent pools around the globe.  In addition to establishing key industry partnerships and a variety of initiatives, the group hosts monthly dinner parties to discuss critical topics and to share resources. This more intimate setting encourages members to get to know each other on a deeper level and to foster growth and success.
